Fertigation is the technique of combining irrigation and fertilization, delivering a fertilizer solution to the crop root zone with the irrigation water via a pressurised system. Its advantages are water and fertilizer savings, even nutrient distribution and precise control according to crop growth stage. It places relatively high demands on water-soluble fertilizer quality.
