Dutch producer of biological crop protection, natural pollination and soil-health products, operating across more than 100 countries.
Company overview
Koppert Biological Systems, founded in 1967 in the Netherlands, is a pioneer in biological crop protection and natural pollination, supplying natural enemies of crop pests, bumblebee hives for pollination and microbial products that support and strengthen crops. Its portfolio of more than 300 grower solutions covers pest control, disease control, pollination, plant health, application and monitoring for protected vegetables, ornamentals, fruit, outdoor vegetables and arable crops.
The company's beneficial organisms include predatory mites and insects, parasitic wasps, beneficial nematodes and microorganisms, helping growers reduce chemical inputs while maintaining yield and quality. It serves growers in more than 100 countries through local offices, distributors and technical consultants, employing several thousand people worldwide.
For 2024 the company reported revenue of EUR 440 million with approximately 2,600 employees, and in the same year HAL Trust took a minority stake through an investment of EUR 140 million, underscoring investor interest in the fast-consolidating biological crop protection sector alongside peers such as BioFirst, the Belgian group formerly known as Biobest.
