Novonesis A/S is a Danish biosolutions company created in January 2024 through the merger of Novozymes and Chr. Hansen, two Danish businesses with roots in 1925 and 1874 respectively. Headquartered in the Copenhagen area and listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen under the ticker NSIS B, the company employs around 10,000 people and supplies enzymes, microbial cultures and probiotics to customers in food and beverages, human health, household care, agriculture and industrial applications.

The company reports in two divisions, Food & Health Biosolutions and Planetary Health Biosolutions. For the 2024 financial year it delivered revenue of DKK 29.4 billion (about EUR 3.9 billion), organic sales growth of 8 percent and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 36.1 percent. Within Planetary Health, the Agriculture, Energy & Tech business area grew 6 percent organically, while Household Care grew 13 percent.

Innovation is central to the model: Novonesis launched 45 new innovations during 2024, and around 30 percent of that year's sales came from products introduced within the previous five years. For 2025 the company guided to organic sales growth of 5 to 8 percent with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 37 to 38 percent, and announced a share buyback programme of EUR 100 million.
