Single Superphosphate过磷酸钙
Single superphosphate, made by digesting phosphate rock powder with sulphuric acid, is a low-analysis water-soluble phosphate fertilizer. Available phosphorus content is typically 12% to 20%, and the product contains substantial calcium sulphate, so it also supplies sulphur and calcium.
Key points
- A low-analysis phosphate fertilizer, typically 12% to 20% available phosphorus, with higher transport cost per nutrient unit than high-analysis products.
- Acidic in reaction, suited to neutral to alkaline soils, and unsuitable for prolonged storage mixed with alkaline materials.
- Production generates fluoride-bearing off-gas, a principal air emission control item for phosphate fertilizer plants.
- As high-analysis phosphate fertilizers have spread, direct application has continued to decline and the product is now used mainly as a phosphorus source in blended fertilizers.
