CHS Inc., headquartered in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, is the largest farmer-owned cooperative in the United States, supplying crop nutrients, crop protection products, seed, grain marketing and risk management services, and refined fuels and energy products. It serves customers in 65 countries and returns profits to farmer-owners and member cooperatives through cash patronage and equity redemptions.

For the fiscal year ended 31 August 2024 CHS reported consolidated revenues of 39.3 billion US dollars, down from 45.6 billion the prior year on lower commodity prices, and net income of 1.1 billion US dollars. Segment pretax earnings were 429.1 million dollars in Energy, 342.7 million dollars in Ag, and 151.2 million dollars in Nitrogen Production, where earnings come from CF Nitrogen, the joint venture with CF Industries that produces urea and UAN, with Ventura Foods the largest contributor in Corporate and Other. The company returned 600 million dollars in cash patronage and equity redemptions to owners in fiscal 2025.

In fiscal 2025 revenues eased to 35.5 billion US dollars and net income to 597.9 million dollars amid weaker refining margins and global grain dynamics, with strong volumes in crop protection and crop nutrients, and the company planned to return 120 million dollars to owners in fiscal 2026.
