Sipcam Oxon S.p.A. traces its origins to 1946, when Emilio Gagliardini and Professor Baldo Ciocca founded Sipcam in Milan to market agricultural chemicals; Oxon was established in 1970 to produce the group's own active ingredients with proprietary technology, and the two parent companies merged in 2018 to create the present Sipcam Oxon. The group remains an independent family business, led by President Nadia Gagliardini, and states a mission to be among the top 15 global players in agrotechnology.

The group researches, develops, registers, produces and distributes off-patent agrochemicals, biostimulants, biorationals, specialty fertilizers, chemical intermediates and seeds, synthesizing active ingredients and formulating finished products across nine plants in Italy, Spain, Brazil, the United States, China and Australia. It distributes directly in 29 countries through its subsidiaries and sells in more than 50 countries through third-party distributors.

In the United States, where distribution subsidiary Sipcam Agro USA records annual sales of over 100 million US dollars, the group acquired formulation and logistics assets from Odom Industries in Mississippi, including the Waynesboro production site with a workforce of about 140 people, strengthening its position in agrochemical, biostimulant and biorational markets.
