PI Industries Limited

PI Industries Limited traces its origins to 1946, when it was incorporated as Mewar Oil & General Mills Ltd., an edible oil refinery, and later moved into agrochemical formulations and, from the mid-1990s, into custom synthesis and manufacturing (CSM) exports for global agrochemical innovators. The company is headquartered in Gurugram with its registered office in Udaipur, Rajasthan, and is listed on the National Stock Exchange under the ticker PIIND.

The business combines two engines: CSM exports of advanced intermediates and active molecules for multinational innovators, and a branded domestic crop protection portfolio distributed through a network of more than 15,000 distributors. The company's investor materials state that its CSM pipeline spans more than 90 molecules and that exports account for the large majority of revenue.

For the financial year ended March 2025, PI Industries reported revenue of INR 7,978 crore, up 4 percent year on year, with profit after tax of INR 1,660 crore and a CSM order book of about USD 1.3 billion. The company operates eight manufacturing sites and nine overseas offices, serving customers in more than 40 countries, and is building an adjacent pharmaceutical CRDMO platform through its subsidiary PI Health Sciences, including a US FDA-approved API site in Lodi, Italy acquired with Archimica.
